“World Rabies Day ” Act Now
World Rabies Day 2025
Under the Signature Project: One Health, One Safety
The Youth Club of Bangladesh – Chattogram Team proudly joined hands with the One Health Institute (CVASU) and our valued partners to host a Free Rabies Vaccination & Awareness Campaign on September 29, 2025, in observance of World Rabies Day.
📍 Venue: Halishahar Cantonment Public School & College
With the active guidance and participation of distinguished veterinarians:
• Dr. Md. Ahsanul Hoque (Rukan), PhD – Director, One Health Institute, CVASU
• Dr. Meherjan Islam – Research Associate, One Health Poultry Hub
• Dr. Unusing Marma – Research Associate, One Health Institute, CVASU
and the unwavering support of our dedicated volunteers, the campaign reached numerous pet owners and community members. Together, we provided:
🐾 Free rabies vaccinations
🐾 Basic health support for pets
🐾 Awareness sessions on rabies prevention
Through this collective effort, we took one more step toward achieving the global goal of “Zero Rabies by 2030.”
This year’s theme, “Act Now: You, Me, Community,” emphasizes that rabies prevention is a shared responsibility — one that begins with awareness and action in every household.
The Youth Club of Bangladesh (YCB) is honored to contribute to this meaningful cause, standing alongside veterinarians, institutions, and communities to ensure a safer and healthier future for both humans and animals.
💬 Special thanks to all our collaborators, veterinarians, and volunteers whose passion and commitment made this initiative a success. Together, we continue building a world free from rabies.
