mpowering Awareness, Inspiring Action: YCB Chattogram’s School Campaign on Thalassemia

In a world where knowledge can save lives, awareness becomes a responsibility. With that mission at heart, the Youth Club of Bangladesh – Chattogram Team stepped into the vibrant halls of the Customs Laboratory School, Sagorika on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, to connect with the future leaders of our nation.

The Thalassemia Awareness Campaign — a signature initiative of YCB — aims to ensure that every young mind understands the importance of preventing this hereditary blood disorder through knowledge and timely action. This week’s school campaign brought together students of Grade 8, 9, and 10, opening a thoughtful conversation on health rights, genetic awareness, and the value of informed choices.

More than 300 curious learners filled the room with their energy — asking questions, expressing concerns, and engaging in meaningful discussions. Their active participation turned the session not just into a lesson, but a powerful exchange of awareness and hope.

Guided by 18 devoted YCB members and instructors, the campaign transformed into a memorable learning experience. Together with the students, they created a welcoming space where compassion met knowledge — where awareness became a promise for a healthier tomorrow.

This initiative stands as a testament to what young people can achieve when they are informed, confident, and inspired.
